winding up Macedonia Ridge from Silver Hill cuts through the farm belonging to George and Inez Durig. Passing below the barn and rounding a bend you are suddenly faced with the view shown in this painting. No children play here and the building is empty and quiet, but the mind's eye and brush and paint recreate the scene as it was in April, 1906.
